Chicago Girls Night Out
This weekend was filled with lots of sun, fun and time with my little guy. But also a little girl time which this mama really needed! My good friend was celebrating her second bachelorette party for us locals who couldn't make her amazing Vegas bachelorette party. We checked out this this really fun and 'pink' restaurant called Pink Taco.
The food was delicious and the drinks were fabulous! I highly recommend it and have some pictures of the restaurant above and my very fun "Pink Drink" below.
Then we headed to a very classy speakeasy called "Bassment" which had a great vibe. After that, we walked down Hubbard Street in River North and checked out the local bars. Not going to lie almost ALL the bars I used to go to were closed and/or replaced. I definitely felt my age hit me in the face and go "yea you're getting old girlfriend" lol. It was actually pretty funny. We topped off the night with an over priced bike taxi which felt like a discotech on wheels. It was honestly the highlight of my night and everyone else's but we were definitely ripped off. Also do people say discotech anymore? haha oh well I still do.
As for my outfit, I actually grabbed it on clearance at Aeropostale and thought it was a skirt! I'm planning to still wear it as a skirt for my up coming Italy trip. It's honestly so great for someone who is a mom trying to still feel fabulous on her trip. Why? Because it stretches, is fitted and is long enough for when I need to bend down to play with my little guy. Unfortunately, I don't see it on online anymore but I linked a similar one below. Side note, my necklace is a Lana dupe I purchased from Windsor a few years back. I've linked similar dupes below, along with other similar options to recreate my look.
